How to Prepare Pastry

Step-by-step guide for preparing delicious pastry shells.


Roll pastry out onto a lightly floured surface until about 3mm thick.

Cut into squares and line individual greased tart cases with pastry.

Trim edges and prick bases

Place a piece of baking paper on the pastry, fill with beans or rice and bake blind in a preheated oven at 190°C for about 10 minutes.

Remove paper and beans. Set aside.
